81 Vine, located in Belltown, could be the neighborhood’s most historic architectural show-piece. Originally a printing factory, the building was carefully renovated and restored by award-wining Geise Architects in 1999 and converted into 24 mixed use residents and lofts. Units feature high ceilings, open floor plans, exposed brick, beams and large windows. Steps to Pike Place Market, Olympic Sculpture Park, the waterfront and all that Belltown has to offer.
Geise Architects: “This project preserves and revitalizes a historic 1914 factory building, creating mixed-use with street related commercial spaces and loft living above. The elegant brick facade, with parapet corbels, large brick arches over pairs of windows and a concrete base was complimented with new industrial forms and materials”
81 Vine was once home to Jeff Bezos, the acting CEO of Amazon.com.
